hahahaha. I have no idea why this made me laugh so much; perhaps because you're right.

I just guess for an alco he seems to have his shit together - the place is neat, and I think the picnic table is a nice touch with the wood floorboards, gives the room a sort of Mediterranean decking feel.

Also note the computer, two screens, sound system, drum kit etc. and the beers, man, they're just where he needs them; within arms reach.

Well, I am wealthy. Not bragging, just stating fact. I am struggling a bit with your logic. Just because a drumkit or a screen can be had for under 100 dollars, does not mean that all drum kits or screens cost that little.

As far as beer goes, it doesn't really get any more expensive, so I am not really sure what you mean.

I really don't want to start a shit-flinging contest or even an argument, I just want to understand.

>>5113696
Sideways is one of my favorite films. It is Paul Giamatti's best performance. He plays a struggling writer with a nose for wine and a bad case of depression and anxiety. I love wine and beer and whisky and books and cooking, so Sideways really brings all of my passions together in one amazing film.

Yeah, but /lit/ is pretty civil about being pretentious. Reading literature almost makes you pretentious by default, so it's fine. And it's different with books than with music.

With music, the only really objective thing you can discuss is the recording quality. The rest is >my opinion.

I like discussing books and films more than music.

Are you kidding, living in there would make me want to shoot myself

I know there's a piece of me that fetishes that kind of purity but I know myself better than to convince myself I could be happy living there

But if that's what you're searching for then more power to you

Flip to I think page 137 or 139, find the sentence "your goal in these dreams is often to...". If the next word is "pens", your copy is fucked. Check for duplicated or blanked pages.

Yeah I know, I just confirmed that I have a bad copy. What I'm wondering is if it is worth switching and buying a new one or if I should just suffer through a few mangled sentences here and there. If it's only a few lines I think I can live with it.

is that Sea Wolf from the Reader's Digest edition? If so, I found the very same (and 5 more from the same collection, diff authors) at a garage sale.
