Is there a philosophy that says there is more important things than correct and that is progress at all costs?
That's how I live my life, I'm Christian and I believe in it and I believe that as long as something improves societal progress than its right.

>I believe that as long as something improves societal progress than its right.
Really?

Even if the loss of Christianity and religion in general would improve society the most?

> believing this

I truly believe Christianity will make the masses more ambitious and better for our world. As long as we have respect for all beliefs and religions within reason and no discrimination to atheists and Agnostics who cares? The Atheists and Agnostics are going to believe what they believe regardless of society and they become scientists.

I hope you're not dumb enough not to question your arbitrary notion of progress.

Hegel. He said that there is no right and wrong other than Progress, which was inevitable. He said that all truths were relative and could be merged together into a higher truth, that these merging together of truths is called Progress, and that Progress will lead to the Utopian State, heaven on earth.

It is antichristian but then so is everything you've said so far.

I'll definitely check it out. Im not a moral nihilist so hopefully he doesn't go that extreme. I see his name on here a bunch, what book would you recommend? What have I said that's anti Christian?

In Christianity truth is absolute, all notion of progress musy be subservient to Christian truth, not the other way around. Societal progress is more or less indifferent in Christianity because society is "the world" i.e. Satan's kingdom ruled by sin. Christianity does not intend to make men ambitious, if anything ambition is a sin. Rather, it seeks to take people away from the world and worldly ambition. The idea of heaven on earh or utopian society is stupidity to Christianity whifh says that the world is fujdamentally corrupt and will only be redeemed at the Second Coming.

Cladistically speaking, ideas of immanetizing the eschaton are heavily 'christian' in descent.

Which is to say, they are heavily descended from dirty protestants/puritans.

What are you even saying?

>something is more important than truth
>this something is progress
>there is only one truth and infinite mistakes
>progressing through infinite mistakes is best for society

So you want to trap society in a perpetual hell?

And how on Earth did you manage to use Christian and progress in the same sentence? See >>5110627

Teleological Philosophies are your aim, but you are kind of a faggot for only wanting to read about things that you already believe in.

OP here
I would rather have the masses believing in religion while the scientific lead the world with science
