i personally think vonnegut is simplistic drivel. the writing is simple, the characters are trite, and the story was mediocre.

this opinion formulated after reading BoC. i decided to then give SH5 a go, then MN, then CC; opinion stands

Vonnegut's writing style is easily digestable and his themes are universal; it's why he has a large audience but also why /lit/ shits on him. Reading his novels doesn't take much experience. I personally like Vonnegut for what he is.
