Why is it important that Gracie drinks zinfandel? Why did the author give us this information? Is it because the author drinks zinfandel?

Probably

It could use a little trimming but that's... That's actually kind of decent.

Did you just skip the first paragraph?

All that exposition un-creatively dumped onto the page without the slightest bit of subtlety and sounding like an OKCupid profile?

I just pictured three princesses and some random valley girl named Rebecca.

Oxford commas sure are great sometimes.

isn't that what you are supposed to picture, how would an oxford comma help?

A, B, C and D implies C & D are together. The Oxford comma works best in context (see pic related), so in this case you would still read them all as individual items of a list.

However, (imo) you don't need an Oxford comma for a list of more than three items, because then the meaning is obvious.

People sure do use the most tortured logic in order to justify an extra zit on the page. The princesses and Rebecca are fine with or without that comma, and you have to be high from huffing your own farts to misinterpret the breakfast sentence that badly.

The habit of NOT including the oxford comma is just a journalistic affectation of an outdated cost-saving method in printing.

I feel like maybe Gracie is the murderer.

Also, it needs some work. Should've got an editor or at least a beta-reader to look it over.

I can't find anything wrong with that story. It's well written and for me it was a fun read.
