Hell fuckin yeah

Did you guys ever publish little "novels" while in elementary school? Like 7-10 page hardcovers? When I was like like 4th grade my book was a direct ripoff of this series.

I just found out that there are a lot more than the original 6 books I read back then.
I mean, I'm probably not about to read them, they're still pushing them out as of last year, but it's interesting.

My 6th grade teacher read the first book to my class. I remember at the end of one of the reading sessions a classmate pointed out that the descriptions made the fights sound really epic, but it's actually just a bunch of feral cats fighting in the woods.

Fuck yes. These were my first venture into fantasy novels. I'm honestly considering finishing the other arcs that have come out since I stopped reading them, just to finish the story. I stopped at the end of 'Power of Three' - the fourth arc is supposed to wrap up the story while the fifth is a prequel of some sort.

Apparently there's an entire shelf of this stuff at a local used bookstore. People actually read these?

Yes and in Grade 7 I wrote an unintentionally racist Black Hawk Down ripoff. I printed a bunch of copies of the short novel and gave it out. I cringe to this day thinking it's in circulation somewhere. Most of it was just me listing weapon names I knew from video games and very inaccurately talking about the Islamic faith and the African population.

I hope to god everyone threw it out.
