"I've always considered music to be the most entry-level of the arts..."

There aren't too many arrangements of words left in English that are capable of conveying the sense of bafflement and disgust you have managed to produce in me.

I'm sorry. Rush is terrible. You could have posted some good entry-level prog rock, like King Crimson or Caravan.

What makes them good? Because they're /mu/ approved and like a good little parrot you go along with it.

no, because they don't have embarrassingly bad lyrics like

Kept a man named Jade;
Cool in the shade
While his audience played.
Purred, whispered, "Spend us too:
We only serve for you"."

Is like you dont even listen to Rush or KC and are just trying to justify your uninformed prejudice.

I'm not saying King Crimson is particularly great lyrically, but no King Crimson song has ever made me roll my eyes as hard as Rush, and their music never puts as much weight on vocals and lyricism

/mu/ is pretty varied. A lot of Pitchfork regurgitation, but a lot of people who really know their shit - especially when you get into threads on specific genres instead of dumb vague threads.

Luv (sic) (all parts, but especially pt. 2) has an incredibly profound effect on me
