I'm reading pic related and Girl with Curious Hair by DFW (short stories) I just finished a much shorter novel so now I can't decide if I want to start The Road or All the Pretty Horses as well.

What because feminester keeps blowing out her cunt about it

When will you find time to read Le Guin if you're masturbating over The Second Sex? I know you only read 4 books a year, are you willing to give up reading what you love for this idolatrous quasi relationship with a faceless tripfag?

I already read The Dispossessed, couldn't find Second Sex at my book store and I am in the middle of several books atm (The Kingdom of Armenia, A History of Civilization, Against Interpretation and Other Essays, My Past & Thoughts, and I've read the forwards to a bunch more) I've finished eight this year. Too bad.

Invisible Man is damn good. What other reason is there to reading it? I owned it before she came into my purview.

hey I'm reading Gravity's Rainbow too. 167 pages in, it's fantastic; i'm making slow progress though because I'm researching lots of things I stumble across and don't know; words, people, places, concepts, etc.

I found All the Pretty Horses to be torturous, and The Road to be solid

also reading pic related on the side, he's such a bitter little man

That book is seriously good. It's well written and even if you don't like it, it's at least a good introduction to Lovecraft, Schopenhauer, Zappfe, Mainländer and a bunch of other thinkers.

Literally all the arguments against it on this board consist of "lol pleb" which solidifies my belief that /lit/ actually just sucks.

>I'll grow up a stupid ass motherfucker throughout my literary life because the first shit I was exposed to was YA garbage.
Put the book down and punch yourself in the face, then find anything else to read.

It only cosists of intviews of fictional people. I am still at the beginning but so far it's good.
It's a bit hard imagining a voice for every character, especially with those many characters it's hard to remember their specific voice
