In what position do you usually read? Lying on bed? Sitting in a comfy chair?

>> No.5032126

Lying on couch, head propped up. The bed isn't quite as comfy, but when I do read there it's usually with a pillow behind my head, though I switch to the side when my neck gets sore

It doesn't matter because they all get uncomfortable within the first 2 minutes.

100% serious. I can't throw it away, it feels so comfy and so warm. Shame my body got bigger.

Sitting in a comfy chair generally.

Your post reminds me of that study 'sitting more gives you cancer' and what not. Does anyone remember if it was strictly sitting or is it the more general act of being at rest on something? Will my health be less at risk if I am laying down instead of sitting?

>> No.5032159

I like to have my legs propped up and my back up relatively straight

If the chair is too squashy it isn't good

>> No.5032161

Sitting in bed or lying on a couch with my head and neck supported by (a) pillow(s).

Standing, leaning against the subway doors I'm not supposed to lean against, at a slight angle away from the breathing stink of the masses.

it's strictly sitting. the reasons given were, that you bend your inner organs when you sit, you make crease in them and that's unhealthy, also digestion is slowed down, which can lead to cancer. if you lay flat none of these things happen, so that's a more healthy position to read in, too bad I fall asleep when doing that.

oh, and it's also supposed to be bad for your spine, because sitting is an unnatural posture in which your spine is bent in a way it's not really supposed to.
