However, if Martin wants to be a true master troll, he can come out before either Season 5 or Season 6 and reveal that the show will end one way, but his books will end the next, putting into everyone's minds the thought that the book ending will be the real ending, the TRUE ending.

I too am in these categories. I keep abreast of what's happening in the show, and in the books, through 4chan, along with some dabbling in Deadspin and Grantland.

I really have no interest in reading them given how everyone says they eventually become unsatisfying.
