Could somebody please name some authors that thoroughly debunk the 'tenants' of Fascism for what they are?

For instance, quite often you hear 'people secretly want to be ruled' as justification for Fascism, as well as other very cheap and misleading arguments.

Are there any classic scholars whom I can reference to help fight the fascist dogs in /pol/?

thank you

>'people secretly want to be ruled'

Bad news: every single child psychologist agrees that kids should be given boundries, rules, bedtimes, etc because it gives them direction, makes them less likely to act out in agressive ways, and because they secretly want it.

So bad news if you're looking for sources that say the opposite.

Here you have it, OP. Authoritarian folks have a general distrust for people, so they take the parenting and policing role too far.

Explain how these arguments are cheap and misleading.

So if I'm following your argument correctly you state:
1. Children need to have boundaries according to child psychologists
Therefore
2. People secretly want to be ruled
Therefore
3. Fascism is OK

as a starting point:
origins of totalitarianism by arendt
and
enemies of open society by popper

there's also an unfinished treatise about ethics by kropotkin, where he correctly identified and critically discussed the main philosophical currents and influences which would later become fascist ideology.

They need rules, but that doesn't necessarily forbid that they make their own rules.

Reading about the Nazis convinced me that fascism is just a big lark. Basically, psychopaths who are fans of drama bully their way to power in an impressive display of military regalia and extremely good looking symbols. Then they create the ultimate drama. They can`t help but also indulge their psychopath tendencies, so there are also monstrous crimes against of humanity going on backstage. Then the drama ends and the dull minded, sane people are left awestruck by the craziness of it all. Later they naively condemn everything that went on.

Of course you would. Everybody would. The problem is that not everybody gets to be an aristocrat and most people are forced be serfs. Don't worry, a few nice speeches and a neat flag will make you feel better about it. And the uniforms on the secret police will be so snazzy~

I'd agree with this. Psychopaths ruling psychopaths. Psychopathy definitely leads to a confusing outlook on life, or it permits you to go hog-wild without any emotional connection to the obvious repercussions. The former end up ruling the latter; the hallucinating leading the blind.
