Hey guise, KCUF is clearly a reference to "fuck," right? Do you think that this changes the way in which we interpret Mike Fallopian's relationship with Oedipa, since "fuck" and "fallopian" are both references to fucking?

That seems like a pretty weak connection to make. If one of my students put that in an essay I'd think he hadn't put much work into it. Why associate Fallopian with KCUF? Maybe Pynchon just likes sophomoric sex jokes.

Jesus Christ, it's a radio station. They come up with juvenile acronyms for their stations all the time, it's just supposed to play into the tone of base culture-bereft California that Pynchon paints. Don't read too much into everything.
