Most ive ever read is in Story of The Stone with over 400 characters.
30 of them are main characters.
It seems to work too as minor characters never really come back so you dont have to pay attention.
However you gotta take some form of notes or something to keep track of the main ones or else i get really muddled.
Only read vol 1,2 and 5 tho
