It is really hard going at first, believe me. But once you've gotten into the swing of it, it's a pretty fucking awesome book.

it's kind of, like, sixties, maaan.

all the chicks have, like, massive amounts of pubic hair.

This is true. I first read this around the time I began my first forays into internet pornography and found it very confusing. The sex described in the book didn't always match the sex on my coputer screen.

I was able to figure it out though.

it's a mess, but it's a decent read if you can follow it (i couldnt the first time through, only read it twice though)
the story can get a bit tricky 'cause it's all over the shop, but i'd recommend you read it, specially since you already have it!

>> No.456127

which means the Illuminati have had another camera angle in your home for 6 years

>> No.456258

Meh, if you like getting high and like reading about people getting high it's probably a decent read.

Most of the characters are the kind of pig disgusting scum who think being high makes you smart and elevates you to a higher state of consciousness and shit. That's also this book's target audience.

>> No.456280

I tried to read this because one of my favorite bands referenced it. I was kind of disappointed. Don't bother.

Someone doesn't understand the concepts of parody and satire..

> implying shea and wilson understood the concept of parody and satire

>> No.456295

I looked into it because of a german movie, 23, featured the hacker robert koch who believed this book is actually true and became totally paranoid. Selling secret information he got from hacking into western germanies protected servers to the soviets did not improve his sanity, as well as the amount of coke he used or the friends he kept (pimp/dealer, ex-criminals, paranoid hackers and anarchists).
Most interesting thing: this is a true story.

All Shea's other books were historical fiction with no drug references at all. He understood satire plenty well.
