Would you use one of these in public, /lit/? Or any other book related t-shirt?

>> No.453495

Oh boy. Maybe if the price is right.

Right now, I just have this shirt.

I would wear the first one if the entire shirt was red.
The only literatur shirts I have is a clock work Orange shirt and a shirt with a short-timers quote on it.

scary how the shirts on the pic correlate with the books most often discussed on lit.

I have almost no shirts with motives or text on them, not even a jersey from my favourite team.
But I find the Moby Dick shirt intriguing, because I could always answer when asked why I wear it:
... well, you can probably guess what I would say.

I would wear that Moby Dick shirt and not. give. a. single. fuck.

Do whatever you want. If you weren't constantly labeling people you've never met as "hipsters" maybe you wouldn't be so afraid of being judged the same way.

If you aren't a "hipster" then wearing a t-shirt is not going to change that.

>> No.453761

I'd fux with the Catch-22 gear if I spent that kind of cash on t-shirts. I usually just get the plain white tees. I'm for this because usually there aren't book t-shirts but if I see anyone wearing one of these I'm giving them the 20 questions treatment to be sure they actually read the book.

I generally do the same thing to people with band merch. Nothing's worse than a kid reppin deadhead gear who never really listened to much of the band.

I don't care how much they make.

I prefer people to understand something before they affiliate themselves with it, because if they don't then their motives for having it are fucking shallow as shit and the more fakers on board anything the more it takes away from the band/art/movement in question.

That's why everyone hates the guy in the Che shirt.
