Okay pounding away at my book, just about at 20k words. Ive been outlining the book with note cards letting the plot meld together more between bouts of just pounding out hard words.

A 22 year old son of a low rent talent agent comes up with the idea to hire hot no name actresses and have them dress up like manic pixie dream girl types and review video games and other nerd material on the internet under the guise of being actual, home grown, "normal" girls. (that happen to be incredibly hot and into nerd shit)

he gets the idea from a crazy texan businessmen explaining to him how the Korean/asian pop star Idol industry works.

Johnny, and his pot dealing gamer side kick, hire Jessica a fame whore in the making red head to be their first girl.She develops a fan base and then as Johnny hires more girls, providing the studio, equipment, scripts, and a cut of the profit.

One of her fans becomes obsessed with her...

For a while things are good, Johnny and Danny bro out, jessica is enjoying all this attention shes getting.

Danny, the pot head side kick, falls for jessica and gets shot down

(There is also a subplot about one of Jessica's freinds, Cindy, discovering her online personality and gets a similar idea, only instead of doing this fake nerdy act, she makes ASMR videos and videos of her roleplaying as a loving girlfriend, look it up right now, this shit is real)

Jessica eventually gets big enough in the gamer "community" that she gets invited to a video game award show (I don't know how i feel about this, I just need something to get her in public even though the gaming awards are a joke in real life)

On the night of the video game awards Johnny comes over to Danny's to celebrate Jessica's new fame, and finds that Danny (who is established as a drug dealer) has moved on to some harder stuff...and has OD'd (with one of Cindy's videos playing on his computer)

The climax of the story is Johnny rushing Danny to the hospital

While this is happening on the red carpet of the VGA's Jessica is shot by her obsessed fan who then proceeds to blow his own brains out.

(Is it way to convenient to have them both go to the same hospital? It does take place in California, and he does work in the industry so it kind of makes sense that he could be renting a studio in the same general area as a major auditorium)

he get's danny to the hospital, both he and jessica are in Intensive care, the other girls show up to see her, and they all tell Johnny that they're quitting and they are going to post videos telling the truth about the whole thing.

Johnny then rushes back to the studio, dealtes the youtube accounts, deletes the videos, runs magnets over the hard drives takes the cameras, and burns everything. (I was thinking of using this as a cold open, the studio looks like a 14 year old girls room)
