Has anybody read, 'God's not dead'?

I'm interested in Philosophy but haven't read any religious defences of God in anything any greater depth than as a basic summary, is there any hope to extract anything meaningful from this? Should I bother?

I've seen a review which quotes the author, seemingly suggesting that he implies, '90% of the world believes in god', is an appropriate argument to justify belief, which obviously gives me some doubt, but I feel somewhat like a hypocrite just writing it off as bullshit

So should O? And better suggestions?

"“There is evidence for an intelligent Creator everywhere you look. To say there is no evidence for this Creator is like saying the thousands of paintings in an art museum couldn’t have been painted because there are no artists visible in the gallery.”

Ha ha. Intellectual charlatanry.

Look, people believe in things to modulate the emotions they feel. A certain subset of people need all the connotations of God to modulate their emotions to a desirable level. They will not see it as emotional modulation but rather as a "search for truth" or a "search for spirituality".

Just...don't man. You learn more about "God" from walking in a forest or in navigating the traumatics of life. To be intellectually seduced into "God" seems vulgar in my opinion.

Flipped through it one time. Seemed like he name-drops for no reason other than appeals to authority and to show how philosophers are big mean atheists. Meh. Get it from the library if you must. 13 britbong dollars is a bit much.

Also, superior book about "God". It's like a hatchet job to your brain.

"Oh wow the idea of a transitive God is fucking retarded."
"Oh wow the idea of God being anything like a 'personality' is fucking retarded"

Stopped reading right there, throw it in the trash.
And that's not even a *le epic fedore maymay* provocing statement, anyone that claims to have evidence for God is bullshitting.
