I'm actually involved with a play production of this right now. Playing Jesse's parent.

This book wins on so many levels. Actually made me cry in grade four in class. I was bullied for crying, but I didn't give a fuck.

It's just such a poignant and honest look at childhood imagination. It portrays that childish adventure and spirit can indeed be dangerous, but that it's important to hang on to anyways. So fucking great.
