This was a lovely little read. Just finished it after starting it yesterday. And I felt it was enjoyable and thorough yet there wasn't as much of that joycean pretension I come to expect.

Prose etc is very evocative and stirring, but it's his reading of Hindu scripture, alongside Geunon's idea of tradition - and contrasting it against the nihilistic impulses of modernity that makes for an invigorating read. It's liberating and difficult to digest sometimes. I suggest reading some Heidegger prior to this, and being acquainted in part with existentialism, Nietzsche, and The Bhagavad Gita, but it's not necessary
