Most people already were.

We just wanted to get our work out there outside of a shitty "critique my work" thread in a publication helmed by a bunch of self-masturbatory namefags who don't do shit but compile badly.

A zine is just a term for an indie / self-published magazine. It can be anything, really. Google it if you want a better description.

>> No.421128

>>421110
It is a project held by a few members of /lit/. People give them words, and they put the words in a big document called a "zine" which is some sort of slang for an internet magazine.

You can find links to the first issue there.

You're joking right?
>>421129
You know this isn't true. Any decently read person with reasonable standards would say nearly the same thing: almost all of the writing in the zine was bad.

Okay right.

It was mediocre but it's what was expected. Remember that it was a first issue, and that they accepted entries from any yahoos. It would normally get better over time.

Why does anyone comes up with this one? Sincerely, the 'Ten Elemental Masters' review shocked me tenfold.

>> No.421159

Yeah, 101% of people agree, this is dumber than a crate of anvil at the bottom of a frozen lake. The editors wanted to put emphasis on "freedom" by making it a point that they would not *judge* anything. So even that shit passed.

I wouldn't expect anything different really, since this is 4chan anyways.

The last zine seemed like it could go into this huge hipster/organic store at the mall here that sells clothes and usually has anthologies of exposes or emo shit. The zine obviously didn't have any New Yorker merit but if it were to find a niche, I'd imagine it'd be in a place like this.

Erroneous comma usage after 1997, and it's a sentence fragment. This will be fun to read.
