Nah seriously:
Plays
Poems
Novels
Essays
Letters
Monographs ("academic" books)
Journals ("academic")
Journals ("literary")
Magazines
Newspapers / News aggregations

what kind of thing do you want to start with?

Read a lot of entry-level poetry so far, nothing much though
Can you recommend any god-tier poets?

>> No.4052994

Beowulf, The Odessy, and Gilgamesh are the best way to start. Go from the earliest stories up to modern times. Once you define your own tastes and pick and choose what you wanna read it wont take you long to work your way up to more recent books.

Entry-level poetry usually is high-tier stuff. It's the poems that have been deemed good enough to put in anthologies.

Check the name field. Central and Eastern european political poetry are underrated by Western lyricism obsessed pretards.

oh fuck it, have some pre-Marx (from a cartoonist):
And did those feet in ancient time.
Walk upon Englands mountains green:
And was the holy Lamb of God,
On Englands pleasant pastures seen!

And did the Countenance Divine,
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here,
Among these dark Satanic Mills?

Bring me my Bow of burning gold;
Bring me my Arrows of desire:
Bring me my Spear: O clouds unfold!
Bring me my Chariot of fire!

I will not cease from Mental Fight,
Nor shall my Sword sleep in my hand:
Till we have built Jerusalem,
In Englands green & pleasant Land
--"Would to God that all the Lord's people were Prophets"
