Hey /lit/ I don't come here often but I was wondering are there any autobiographies written by serial killers? I'd be very interested in reading one.

There's a book about Ted Bundy written by someone who knew him. She actually started working on the book about the crimes before Bundy was captured and revealed as the killer.

He did contract hits, which is different than serial-killing, in that money was the motivation for the deaths; while, with serial-killing, it's more to satiate a psychological urge, of some kind -- usually sexual; but, there are rage killings. So, if you look at the psychology of a hitman v. a serial-killer, you'll see a vast difference in the reasons as to why they kill, which is what, technically, separates them.

Hit-men are serial killers. They fall into the "comfort" subclassification of the "hedonistic" type. They're just serial killers that kill for money.

I get what you're saying, but from what I know of Kuklinski he did the gangland contract hits as a job, but in his spare time killed serially for his own amusement

>Hedonistic — Someone who kills for lust, thrill, or comfort/profit. The first two kill principally because they enjoy it; lust-based killers get sexual satisfaction out of murder, while thrill-based ones simply find it exciting. Comfort/profit killers are the type who kill to maintain or fund a life of luxury, or otherwise for money; hitmen and assassins fall into this category, but it usually refers to cases of fraud, embezzlement, or robbery that involves killing somebody. Women serial killers are usually comfort killers, though not all comfort killers are women.
