so at her church one day she is called to the front... wearing a robe with nothing beneath and soon then disgarding said robe, she lays on the floor where the priest and acolytes take a glass dildo or something that is hooked up to an electrical current and then they go to town on her

at another part of the book a young gay man goes to a party with other gay men... the main character finds out and goes to rescue him as the party is a sadist party... he finds young man on drugs and all messed up with a 10" dildo or something...

Is from a book named El Inquilino (The Inquiline) from Guido Tamayo. I think the book is not translated.

Anyways, the main character is fail writer in Barcelone that is dying from lung cancer due to heavy smoking (two packages a day during 50 years). He lives in a very little apartment with almost none luxury. The apartment have a little kitchen and two rooms (but he only uses one). In that room (that is his bedroom/study room) he only have a mattress, a little desk and his writing maquine. Anyways, the room is called "The Yellow Room". Why? I've read most of the things mentioned in this thread, but the most.....sickening thing, if that's the word, is the scene in Graceland (Chris Abani) where Elvis walks in on his cousin being raped by her father. I've read plenty of rape scenes, but...ugh there's this line. She's lying there, with her father "grunting away between her legs" and she's biting her lip, and she whimpers when Elvis sees her. I nearly puked right there. I just left the book down, walked out of the library, and I haven't gone back to read anymore of it.

It's probably nothing particularly rough, but lip biting is something I've always associated with pleasure, as is the sound I hear in my head when I picture the scene. And that makes it worse, I can't tell if she's meant to be at that fucked up stage of child abuse where she "enjoys it" or whatever, or just.......argh i can't even talk about it /lit/

When you think that it really happened. Ouch !

The torture scene and essentially the ending in 1984 (because it's like even his ability to internally protest has been erased, and I find that pretty terrifying).

Some scenes in Sade's Justine, particularly toward the end.

A few things in Stephen King (I remember in particular a heroin-dealing doctor being lost alone on an island and having to cut off and eat is own limbs to survive).

More than a few things were disturbing in Dante's Inferno, but somehow it felt too unreal to really affect me. It must have been really horrifying to read at the time, though.

One poem of Baudelaire, when you're not sure wether the narrator is pleading to rape or to maim his love interest (or both) but you're certain it is at least one of those two.

Some scenes in Shakepeare, most notably Titus Andronicus, though it does really crosses the line twice.

A short story from Barbey d'Aurevilly "Les Diaboliques" (The Devilish Ones) were a couple, mid-argument, start to beat one another with the heart of their dead child. An another one were a cheated-on husband has the heart of his wife's lover fed to his dogs before her (all the more so than the wife asked for the right to eat the heart).

Reading sure is fun.

We all know what it refers to, but it's so overused and abused that there's no reason to use the term anymore. Let alone with entire phrases like "I cut myself on that edge". Blowfly Girl is one of my favorite pieces of absolute trash erotica. It isn't erotic in any sense of the word but it is pretty effective and entertaining. I once told a guy to read the deer story aloud in a Tinychat and he started gagging about half way through.

"Dirty Deeds" and this one story about a big-titted Playboy model who gets raped by wasps and turns into a bloated hive of weaponized rape wasps rank pretty high too.

>> No.3707651

Forgot the name of the short story (it was in an anthology somewhere), but this guy kidnaps his bitch of an ex-girlfriend. He slices up her face, cutting from the corners of her mouth to the ears. Not straight, open cuts but rather little cuts spaced out. Think ---- instead of —. Then the guy turns her around and shoves his cock into her ass as hard and deep as he can. The pain makes her scream, and this makes all the little cuts open up and rupture, effectively opening her face from mouth to ears. She dies of shock not long afterwards while the guy experiences an explosive orgasm. Then he turns her around and says he's glad that now every time he sees her he'll see that big smile in her face, and know it was him who put it there.

You know when you're watching porn and you imagine you're the dick and it's not gay because the actor isn't too loud so you're not distracted?

Whenever I read it I got that feeling except Jeremy Irons kept intruding in my thoughts so it felt like I was trapped inside his body while he was giving her the D.

Reading some of these I guess I'm not so jaded. The part where the little boy is locked in the room with Hakan after he'd been horribly disfigured and turned undead in Let Me In freaked me out the first time I read it.

Also, I was always disturbed by Greg Stillsons introduction in the Dead Zone where it narrates him mercilessly kicking a dog to death for the better part of an hour. I don't think I've found myself hating a villain faster then him.

I'm the poster who first mentioned the poem. I wasn't thinking about that one, when you read it closely you realize that it is about self-harming/self-loathing. The "you" in the poem is the narrator himself (plus the title "heautontimoroumenos" literally means "the persecuter of himself" in ancient greek).

Yeah, this one. Simply read the eight last verses, they tell it all. The contrast between the niceness of the begining and the resentful hate of the ending is really creepy.

>fucks his dead brother's pregnant wife in his funeral
It's funny because for one second I imagined that it was the funeral of the guy and not of his brother. Fucking someone at your own funeral ? Now that's what I call disturbing.

I don't remember in which book but Curzio Malaparte wrote about a time when he lost his dog and he found it in some kind of lab. The only thing he could do was asking the lab men to kill the dog to stop him from suffering. That shit was sad.

Or the time when the American army (it was WWII) arrived to some Italian town and a dude got crushed by the caterpillar of a tank and people carried him and he look kinda like a flag.

Malaparte has many moments like these, he was a war correspondent.

I really enjoyed a vignette from Anthony Swafford's 'Jarhead', in which
Swafford sits and talks to a group of Iragi soldier's corpses.

They'd been bombed whilst eating by a camp-fire and Swafford just sits
amongst them and talks to them and gets all existential.

It was a harrowing moment for me. My dad was in the army and I've always
thought it was cool that he'd see dead people and stuff, but when I read that,
I realised that maybe my dad might be fucked up like Tony. Just a bit.

I think it was more the protagonists acceptance and distance from it that got me more than anything. The ability to have a positive impact is there but totally squandered by the protags hopelessly selfish attitude. It's not so much what happened, but that it was entirely preventable

Also the subtle mention of the pedophile castration porn messed with me as well. The book was solid in general though, just some of the subject matter made me feel un-nerved
