Hello Lit. I'm trying to write a book. It seems more like I am trying to learn to write. It's all journaling at this point, in a sort of quick, non-detailed series of events pulled directly from my experiences. I want to turn it into a story somehow, or learn how to write a completely fictional story. If you have any advice or can point me to resources that might help it would be greatly appreciated. Websites would be best, as I have limited access to libraries (basically because I have limited time to go to one.) Also, I'm not really looking to get into any arguments about writing. I just want advice or free writing resources. I won't respond to any antagonistic comments. Thanks.

Good luck with your writing!

How much experience do you have OP?

I took one creative writing class in junior college and one literature class at the same college. I also took a dramatic literature class at University. That's the furthest I went with English education as far as I can remember. I majored in studio arts. I still want to write and you can't discourage me!

I'm not trying to discourage you.
So you are basically saying, you have almost no experience writing on your own, without anyone to guide you?

I have very little experience writing and no I have no one to guide me. I'm out of college, so that's basically why I need resources and advice.

I was just checking it out. The Literary Machine sounds like a good tool for what I'm trying to do. Ok, that is kind of a response to antagonism since you said fuck me, but I didn't want you to think I wiped my ass with your recommendation.
Thank you for your recommendation.

I just felt jealous you were replying to the other anon and not me :'(

I can be touchy feely sometimes.
