My teacher studied Greek besides philosophy, and he is currently translating some of the Aristoteles works that haven't been translated into Danish yet.
Besides being able to discuss Plato on a much deeper level, he can use greek for a variety of things.

Seriously, there is a lot to benefit by learning ancient Greek and reading Plato. A whole new level meaning and silly philology will be awaken to you. If I could go back in time I would start learning ancient Greek freshmen year of college.
