I just finished the first book, and I don't understand what made Hober Mallow go to Siwenna/Onum Barr.
Could anyone enlighten me?

He wanted to seek out the empire after having seen the imperial insignia at planet north korea. I think.

Wtf @ 'planet north korea'. It was actually...Korell. Which is often confused with Kalgan, which is important in later books.

He realised Korell was being subsidised by the Galactic Empire, and went to Siwenna for more information. Not to spoil things too much, but in a later book we meet Onum Bar's son, Ducem Bar.

i called it north korea because of the dictator who called himself something like dear leader and the strict laws about commerce...

Am I the only one who disliked Mallow all the way to the end? He just seemed like a money-hungry egotist selling out the Foundation...
