Should I read the Foundation series in chronological order or in the series that they were written?

Should I read them at all /lit/

Definitely read the original trilogy in order.
The robot sand empire novels are less important to read in order.

They're boring.

read Jack Vance's "Planet of Adventure" series instead. Vance didn't steal ideas from Edward Gibbon.

Monitoring thread.
The Barnes And Noble fancy bound edition of this series gave me a book boner. So I decided instead of shelling out 20 bucks for a book I might not read I read I,Robot instead to see if I liked the author or not. I,Robot was good.
So yeah I'm monitoring the thread.

Not op.
Bump for interest.

I liked them. Been a long time since I read them. just read Foundation series though, not iRobot or the others... Had some interesting sci-fi theories that are not so sci-fi now, and plenty of plot. Dragged on a little towards the end... and was kinda disappointed in the ending..although it was appropriate ... i guess..
