Hello /lit/.
What's your drink of choice for doing /lit/ related activities?

>> No.3473535

Water.

>> No.3473544

Tea of various kinds. Tieguanyin, Dong Ding, Bailin Gongfu, Mi Xian, Bai Mudan, houjicha, various blends, etc. Sometimes I try to pair it with the book, but I'm usually too lazy for that.

The dirty water of American Imperialism...

Coca-Cola.

Same here, but I prefer Mexican stuff to the corn syrup shit we get Stateside.

I'm in Europe, no corn syrup shit here. It's the full fat sugary goodness it was always meant to be.

You ever tried that stuff the Swedes, or one of the other scandis, drink around Christmas?

Do you like Lapsang Souchong?
I think it would pair well with farenheit 451.
See whut I did thar?
Seriously though it's good tea. Try it if you can bro/sis.

Delicious tea though. It's like an Islay whisky.

Tea or coffee mostly.

Coffee or Tea. I grind my own beans, and only use loose-leaf teas. It all tastes so much better.

I don't know what kind of tea you've been drinking but my Lapsang Souchong always has a fruity aroma, yeah there's smoke but it's far from offensive.

Root beer.

I just picked up a genmaicha - weird stuff. I'm not impressed, don't think I'll order again. It's like Rice Crispies have infiltrated my tea. Same flavour as the milk that's left after a bowl.

Are you well versed in the grinder world? I may be looking for one.

>> No.3474593

>>3474573
Invest in an automatic one. The novelty of hand grinding wears off after about a week, even if the grinder costs a hundred bucks lest. Anything that has medical or industrial grade steel conical burrs will work.

The cheaper grinders work fine too if you just do drip.

>> No.3474610

>>3474593
Thanks, that's the kind of advice I was looking for. I've been only drinking drip lately, could you give a wide estimation of what you consider the cheap but proper prize range?

This stuff can be had from Amazon for cheaper but that's where I would look to get an idea. If you find similar products with the same features for cheaper, and they have alright reviews, chances are they'll be alright. It's mostly about the grade of steel used and what sort of adjustment you can make.

OP here.
Kind of unrelated but maybe someone can help me out.
I've got an iron teapot that has been used and kind of abused for a few years now and the enamel on the bottom has kind of chipped away and it leaves rust rings on my stove now.
What do?

>> No.3474636

buy another one

is it a pot or a kettle?

>> No.3474649

>>3474636
It's a cast iron tea pot.
There's nothing wrong with it really,it works flawlessly. A coaster kind of works but it gets wet it doesn't last.
Mine looks EXACTLY like this picture except it's blue and I don't have that stand thing and the cups.
I think I need one of those stand things or something similar. But maybe there's a way for me to repair the bottom first that some tea-bro knows about.

Either you engage in very little /lit/ related activities, or there would be no "acceptable substitute" for your opiates. Or they aren't really your drug of choice in any true way and you're just trying to be cool.

Not that guy, but I like to flirt with opiates. Usually once a month I take Oxy's or make a codeine CWE. I have made PST many many times, have chased H a few times, and have a nice lump of raw opium in my drug box right now, but I can take or leave them. Despite dabbling in them for a few years, I don't have the urge to become a full blown member of the opiate community or use more than I do. The high is wonderful, but I much prefer the active energy of stims.

>> No.3475006

>>3474956
It wasn't casual opiate use that irked me, in fact I find that admirable. It was the statement of opiates being his drug of choice when engaging in literary activity. Which would make him a casual at either opiate use or literate activities or otherwise just a tryhard. I suspect the latter, since his answer as what to his favourite liquid refreshment is was WEED AND PILLZ.
