I recently got on the Stephen King bandwagon and I was wondering what books of his were your favorites? So far I've read "The Dead Zone," "The Shining," and "'Salem's Lot."

>> No.3369527

The Long Walk, 'Salem's Lot, and Night Shift are the only ones I would recommend reading.
IT is alright but your time is better spent reading other authors.

Anything really.
If you like horror read some of the guys the other anon listed(Barkers early Books of Blood are good and Poe is just a great in general).

Firestarter is my favorite of his

Under the Dome. 'nuff said.

"Lisey's Story" was good.
The first 5 Dark Tower's are good,
It, Needful Things, The Stand,
Talisman and Black House were especially good, with Stephen King having a collaborator,

Wasn't the ending of 'salem's Lot badass, OP? Also, I'd recommend the unabridged version of The Stand; it's a door-stopper, but it's worth the time. Carrie was one of the first novels I read by him and that was great, too.

Not just any "collaborator". Peter Straub. Read Peter Straub, OP
