Can /lit/ offer up any recommendations similar to the 'Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test'?

I found it quite interesting too! Monitoring this thread now.

After this I read
Ken Kessey - One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Jack Kerouac - On the Road
William Burroughs - Naked Lunch

Also, I haven't read it but I expect something similar

Carlos Castañeda - The Teachings of Don Juan

Thanks for the suggestions! Unfortunately I've already read (and enjoyed) those but it's appreciated nevertheless.

Oh! Do you by any chance have some recomendations based on those I just mentioned? Thought on reading some more Burroughs and maybe Ginsberg's Howl.

Was this thread prompted by his Eunuchs of the Universe article?

You may like 'The Yages Letters' then, which features both Burroughs and Ginsberg and 'And the Hippos Were Boiled in Their Tanks' which is a Burroughs/Kerouac collaboration. If you enjoy up enjoying those, other Burroughs works I'd recommend would be 'Junky' (his first novel) or 'Cities of the Red Night'.

It wasn't, but I'll be sure to investigate that further.
