Can you recommend me some books that deal with the theme of crushing loneliness?

>> No.3323905

about crushing loneliness or about crushing loneliness?

GRRM:s shortstories.

Basically his most consistent theme is nerdloneliness because, well, duh..

kid, I'm sure if you just stopped looking at little anime girls undress and stop getting pillows of them doing just that real women would find you a creepy fucker and they might hang around with you. Might. But probably not, because if you're into little anime girls you've probably got many other fucked up attributes.

Read More Pricks than Kicks by Samuel Beckett. Belacqua is almost as much as a despicable outcast as your self.

About loneliness that is crushing and seemingly inescapable.

You sure are making a lot of assumptions about me.

I hide my powerlevel well and don't even own any anime related merchandise. People don't find me a "creepy fucker".

So why are you so lonely?

An analysis of the shut-in generation of Japan. Maybe you'd like it.

I don't know. I'm aloof and can't relate to people.

kid, pictures of anime girls and talking about your "powerlevel" says it al.

I'll check it out, thanks.

Hunger by Knut Hamsun could possibly be made to appeal to your interests... as could The Painted Bird by Jerzy Kosinski.

These are the only two books I ever recommend.

Ok, but I hide my weeb tendencies well enough that you'd never even suspect me of watching animu and shit unless you looked at computer.

schopenhauer, op, schopenhauer.

I find a lot of religious texts to be great guides on how to be alone.

I've already read a lot of Schopenhauer's stuff.

Eleven Kinds of Loneliness by Richard Yates.

It's short stories. Short depressing stories about all kinds of loneliness.

I haven't read Pessoa yet but he seems relevant as far as I know.

Yes, The Book of Disquiet is the saddest and greatest thing I've ever read.

Loneliness is a recurrent theme in DFW's work, too. Read some of his shorts like Good Old Neon and The Depressed Person.
