Should I read Beyond Good and Evil first, or should I read something else he has written first, or something else entirely? Yes, I'm trying to read about existentialism, and the spark notes make this book like an interesting place to start.

Twilight of the Idols was the easiest for me to digest, but i'd already been through a bit of Nietzsche by the time I got to it. Others might tell you to start with The Birth of Tragedy, perhaps even going chronologically. I started with the Gay Science and I did fine...

...that said, the more you know of his predecessors, especially some of the more relevant ones (Others will probably tell you, i'm about to go to bed), the better off you are with Nietzsche from the start....

..and what's not often said, is that his idiosyncratic writing style benefits from that understanding to such an extent that I might caution some to put him off entirely until then, otherwise they could literally 'ruin' him in an way that would take some odd untangling.

That chart is atrocious.

Beyond Good & Evil was excellent OP. If you can find a lecture podcast to follow along with it while you read I would highly recommend that. But it's honestly not that hard. Sure you'll miss stuff if you don't know the full context, but you're not majoring in this shit, and it's fine for a nice thought-provoking read.
