Hickock and Smith have been exhumed at the behest of authorities seeking closure for the family of the victims of a 1959 home invasion slaughter in Florida, it being thought that the pair, known to have been in the state at the time but dismissed as suspects on the basis of the results of a polygraph test, may have perpetrated the crime.

If found guilty post mortem, what kind of impact will this have on the perception of Capote's seminal novel?

I think a factor that has been used to determine the value of In Cold Blood is Capote's access to the criminal mind, heretofore believed to have been (completely in the case of Smith) unrestricted by the subjects' unwillingness to convey their true thoughts and feelings. Guilt was suggest this is far from the truth.

Huh...Help me out here, I know little to nothing about forensics. How exactly will the exhumation of their bodies help solve the case?

Makes sense, as Capote was such a massive faggot.

Capote sure did inject his gayness into the two of them.
From their very first conversation I was wondering if they were supposed to be fags.
