Dear /lit/
I'm looking for the following:
WWII in Colour
Churchill Recordings/quotes
Othello, The Ages of Men and King Leer by William Shakespeare
Monty Python's meaning of life
W. H. Auden's poems/works
Lolita (the movie and the book)
Dame Edna stuff
Pride and Prejudice
Work by Roger McGough
Memoirs of a Geisha

and sorry to go /mu/ on you guys but I want some thought provoking music as well...
with French and English subtitles or translations... I'm learning French, already completely immersed my computer with French but I'm still finding this kind of slow learning.

pls /lit/

Vonnegut was a hilarious mind with a decent eye for an interesting story and some poignant, if trite, commentary. He's great for a read in the way that Mark Twain is - fun and folksy lacking any sort of pretense of loftiness. He's worth reading if that sort of thing appeals to you, and he definitely is great at what he does. That much should be apparent even if you aren't a fan of the guy's work.

Why do people say things they don't really believe? Trolling as a phenomenon is a strange thing. It just brings out the stupid in everyone...

this is the type of reason why I think new sincerity is important

I don't care about whether or not you were trolling, I rarely do. If there's an opinion I have that I feel is worth defending, I'll defend it to see where it leads me in conversation or to make a vote for some stance in the sea of voices
