I think there is a common bond among humanity that supersedes the base nature of the animal kingdom but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

try not to get lost in details here. "All humans are equal" all humans must include a lot of entities more different than black people and white people.

It's going to include all the living and the dead, all the hypothetical potential people, all the same person at different times in their lives, all fictional people perhaps, though you might argue those are not human.

And anything that might meet any definition of human you wanted to cite

so saying black people don't meet the criterion of humanity, or even classifying them as a separate group seems to imply knowledge that they existed into the past and will exist as a separate group as long as the definition human does.

tl:dr It's silly to try to separate out black people when you haven't even ruled out elves, the dead and you future grandchildren from your "equality" list.
