I had an idea and spent the past hour slopping this together:
http://intxtricable.com/poetry/scrap.php
excuse the lack of interface, i was in a rush to get it done.

If people like it i'll make it look pretty later.

Tao lin?
Do you mean e.e. cummings ?

I actually liked that spring one, that might've been why.

-1. Feels neutral.

OP, couldn't you add a bit on the results page with the names and authors for all the poems, and telling us which ones were from /lit/?

Christ, I remember some of those poems from threads on /lit/
My favourite was the one about Old Ben. Thank you for this, OP. You helped remind me how good contemporary poetry is and how good the writing talent of the board is in general.

the one that ends with the lines
"your heart smothers my body
come here"
was beautiful!

I got a 1.

Ehh, I don't care either way.

The Jesus in Belfast and Gomorrah ones were by Anon?

Damn, keep up the good work, /lit/.

Some of the /lit/ poems were edgy and awful, but I liked the one which began "thin tropical rag".

It's interesting that the Ginsberg you included was something outside of his usual style. Was that for any reason?

OP here.

I think this is going pretty well and i'm pleased by everyone's interest; thanks for the responses!

I'm working on making it look nice now but my internet connection is playing up a bit so i won't update it till tomorrow.

I'll probably do a prose version too because this has been fun!

Night

Well i didn't want to choose Howl or anything else famous or people would know it was by him and rate based on that as opposed to judging the poem in and of itself (which is the whole point of the thing).

>>3289263
If you can wade through the garbage there is a lot of good work to be found on /lit/!

>> No.3289451

>>3289358
here
>>3289409
Yeah, obviously, but was it just by chance the the less-known Ginsberg you chose was an imitation of Hellenistic (or whatever) poetry? I'd guess not, judging from your response.

>> No.3291303

I got 7. Pretty good.

>> No.3291498

Updated to look better!

Working on a prose version now.

>>3289451
Oh right, yeah that was just chance. I haven't read a huge amount of Ginsberg to be honest.

>> No.3291519

I got 4.

I disliked everything except cummings, Aristophanes, and that poem about homosexuals some anonymous guy wrote. I thought it was kind of nice.

I've never liked Ginsberg or Arnold, academy be damned.

>> No.3291525

I got 7 and I almost don't even read poetry.
