I can't get my writing critiqued by people in real life, so where online can I get good constructive criticism so I can improve?

Scribophile

But you have to be willing to give before you get

Write something, right now, a true measure of ability is improvisation.

Or...not at all?

I know people who can't improv anything to save their lives, but give them the time they need and they churn out brilliance. I'll take quality over speed any day.

Nice excuse. You're a talentless hack who's never going anywhere.

Thanks, I'll take a look

Possibly, but really I don't think that would do much, I have a really big database of scenes and imagary/dialogue, or arguments if it's an essay, in my head that I just write when I sit down to write, it's not really improvisation until I finish putting down all those daydreams (not going to happen as I daydream new stuff everyday, to music)

My writing group is more useful than scribophile (and it can be pretty bad sometimes). I recommend you go to school and meet some other lit students that want to improve as much as you do.

School is not an option :/

Write a book, then rewrite and then go to a publisher. If it's shit rinse and repeat.

But I don't want to get published...

Well, then, just write on friend

But I do want to get better.

Just read more. Be your own judge. It's an art that is learned through practice, not through teaching.

Congratulations, your dream is within reach

What 'dream', getting better at writing?
