Reading a book would be like watching a movie, but instead of
moving at 24 fps, it would go 1 fps with the same reel length.

My God! That movie would be twenty-four times longer!

>> No.3211400

Why? The frames wouldn't contain any extra detail would they? What you're advocating would just be longer movies. Maybe less quick-cutting shots and more long takes.

Also I don't think you get why film moves at 24fps. It's merely because that is the correctly determined speed to convey cohesive motion from the frames.

If this is a copypasta then sorry I haven't seen it before.

I think the point is that movies are about a two hour experience while books are a week-long endeavor.

It's sad how movies have ruined everyone's attention span.

Yeah we get plebs from /tv/ coming in here daily.
Just have to learn to weed them out.

Are you seriously blaming movies for ruining people's attention spans? If anything people, even /lit/izens, spend more time watching a movie in one sitting than they do reading.

Excuse me OP.

You fail to realise the sheer idiocy of what you've said. If one attempted to play any film a 1fps then there would be trouble.. The xenon lamp inside most commercial projectors are EXTREMELY hot during operation. So much so that if a single frame was in front of the gate (where the film gets the light shone through, dummy) for a whole second, it would begin to burn..

Not too efficient to burn every print every time it's played is it now?
