Yes, but I have a more interesting question:

How many of the people who highlighted the Jane Austen quote do you think believe it sincerely (as opposed to ironically)?

but that's wrong, because love like that is inherently selfish. they only love you because you have proven to them that it is advantageous for them to love you. what people truly want is UNCONDITIONAL love.

>> No.3205868

>>3205847
I disagree with that. People get bored with unconditional love. What people want is someone who approves of THEM, THEIR choices, THEIR actions. If someone loves me as much as they love an obese, 35-year-old who lives with their mother and has never had sex... I'd have a problem with that. You have to make me feel special.

Kindle Fire isn't e-ink. You try reading on it you'll get burny eyes and a headache within two hours.

E-ink technology is literally like reading a laminated newspaper. Much nicer, and as a bonus it's cheaper. If you want a tablet PC get a damn iPad or whatever.

Honestly, between the DRM, EULA assrape and amazon's general cuntishness when it comes to ebooks, I would rather just read them on my phone using any one of the hundreds of apps available.

Hell I buy the paperbacks of authors I like from an actual bookstore and pirate the ebook to read it so the book wont get damaged being carried around. Why would I carry around yet another device to fill my bad and/or get damaged.

"Most popular" should be read as "Most shared", so I hardly see how sharing something publicly (on your social networks) is an invasion of privacy... I mean, it's not as if Amazon was hacking your device to check what passages you've been highlighting.

We combine the highlights of all Kindle customers and identify the passages with the most highlights. The resulting Popular Highlights help readers to focus on passages that are meaningful to the greatest number of people.

>> No.3207087

The Hunger Games wasn't even good. The last book crossed the line from below-average to completely absurd. In any case, I'm almost positive that can't be really accurate. If they included all versions of the Bible, I imagine the first hundred pages would all be passages from it.
