When we all die and go to Hell, /lit/, I want YOUR help - together, we - the countless humans who rejected the monarchism and authoritarian regime of God - will overthrow Satan or whatever demon rules over Hell. Then, once we have done so, we will establish a Democratic Republic of Heaven, and set about to - through hard work and civicism - set about to make a paradise of Hell.

Are you with me, humanists of /lit/?

Fuck, why not? Where do I sign up?

Eventually, we will wage war against the Kingdom of Heaven, and force God to - at the least - consider a more liberal and democratic Republican form of government, with representation.

Why do the people of today, living in a democracy, who fervently believe in religion, so accept the concept of a Kingdom of God, but hate when politicians make a bit of headway and call it authoritarianism?

Hypocrisy, my friend. I say it is hypocrisy. And fear. Fear to be equalled to God. To triumph in all glory and set our own rules that He must follow.

I see.

Why are people content with letting God dictate human affiars? God is a perfect deity: therefore, how can He even comprehend our troubles, our problems, our conflicts? He can't, and this makes him highly ineligible to rule.

Well hell ought to have all nonbelievers and sinners (drugs, gambling, etc.) so I think I will fit in fine.

Yes, I'm with you.

Sure fucking thing, I'm in, haha.

When you are dead, and in Hell, remember my name, /lit/eratti! That's Rex Caeli for you!

Remember that name!

No demon rules over hell. They're all just prisoners there as well. according to Dante, so maybe they'll join you in overthrowing God.

Basically just how God came down to be born in a stable and faced the same temptations and shit the rest of us did. So He can comprehend our mistakes and our weaknesses.

>> No.3137897

I actually had a story knocking about like this, about a human group formenting religion in both heaven and hell where they realise their everlasting souls are an energy source.

Not good enough - he was still born and executed 2000 years ago. Maybe if he sent us a Messenger every century or so, but he hasn't.

I would argue that the Temptation of Christ after the 40 days spent in the wilderness are not at all indicative of facing the same temptations as normal humans

He refused normal temptations that any normal mean would have accepted: food, water, and rest. By all means, Jesus is the weird one.

Why are certain values 'holy'? Are they holy because God loves them, or does God love them because they are holy?

>food, water, rest

that's not at all what Satan tempted Jesus with. What Bible were you reading

Holiness just means separation.

they aren't, nor are they what's written in the gospels. I have no idea where he came up with those three things

Satan told him to make bread out of rocks. It had been 40 days since he had eaten anything so he was attempting to appeal to his hunger, which was very great according to the Bible.

The second time he was brought to the pinnacle of the temple in Jerusalem, where Satan told him to throw himself off, as an entire legion of angels would swoop down out of Heaven and rescue him before he hurt himself.

Then he was brought to a high mountain where he could see all the kingdoms and nations of the world as well as all the power and glory they had. Satan then told Jesus he could have all of those if he would but kneel at his feet and woship him.

I see where you're coming from with food, but I don't know where you got water and rest. All in all he was being tempted with one of the things that so many men want. Power. Great or small, people like to have power.

However I do believe this was not the only time Christ was tempted. He lived 33 years, going day to day in that time. I'm sure things arose for whatever reasons that would tempt him to sin in some way.

At least that's how I see the whole thing.
