If I wanted all the typos I'd just buy the Wordsworth Classics edition.
Shouldn't be much more than 3 bucks or so.

I heard the the Viking Press edition is the one published with all 9000 of Joyce's corrections. I'm happy to see someone else is seriously interested in this great book

>> No.3118375

Bump

Hopefully there's a good annotated edition or a good readers' guide - as there are for Ulysses.

The Oxford University Press edition is probably the best one.
If you want a guide, go for A Skeleton Key to Finnegans Wake by Joseph Campbell.

>> No.3118388

Dover thrift edition, obviously. Its the patrician printing.

>> No.3118400

>>3118388
I don't think there is a Dover thrift edition,
but if there was wouldn't just be the same as the Wordsworth and Penguin Classics editions, the uncorrected version?

There is no edition recognized by any majority of knowledgeable experts as the "more accurate edition" of Finnegans Wake.

>>3118400
Seriously though.... Stop.

>> No.3119806

Penguin Modern Classics is pretty good, very good binding.

It's the one I typically use.

I would've thought the edition(s) that incorporates the author's own corrections would be the "more accurate edition"

>> No.3119813

>>3119806
But I'm pretty sure the Penguin Modern Classics edition is a reprinting of the first edition ie. no corrections

>> No.3119897

Believe it or not, A strong following of reputable experts even suggest use of the first edition.
