Fitzgerald's writing is full of unnecessary frills. I think Hemingway is like a perfected form of Fitzgerald. I do not like Fitzgerald's frills.

Short have been half as short with more violence. I like the Hemingway and Bukowski comparison. Those guys were much better reads.

Seriously, why does no one ever discuss "The Beautiful and Damned" or "Tender Is the Night"? The latter is the pinnacle of Fitzgerald's writing ability. Really a fantastic read.
