Would you guys recommend reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar?
I saw it in a 4chan banner thing

Kinda predictable but then again it was the first of it's kind. Give it a read, shouldn't take terrible long to finish.

>> No.3055580

It's pretty high level, so start with something more introductory like Ulysses.

Anti-consumerist Marxist propaganda. We should be encouraging the caterpillar as a society because him eating everything drives economic growth and innovation

I do not believe what I'm reading. The hypertextuality of The Very Hungry Caterpillar makes it one of the most difficult books to read correctly.

It's pretty good OP. Definitely the best place to start with Carle's work, I think. "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" is also a must read. A little less political, but more esoteric. His newer stuff isn't as good as the old.

I approve, plox upload to der wiki.

I disagree on your political characterisations of his work which is frankly juvenile and instrumentalist enlightenment liberalism; but, tier lists should be slightly and deceptively wrong.

What tier would this tier list fall in?

The Very Hungry Caterpillar is obviously HC

My Very First Book of Words is below classification.

I'd put The Greedy Python as a Category 2 read, though if you were doing it back to back with The Grouchy Ladybug, especially at bedtime, they'd both count as Category 1 difficulty.
