Mediocre erotica, great cover. cover was so great took me a while to realize how mediocre the content was. The I read Ladders to Fire and was convinced she sucks as a fiction writer. Have yet to read diaries though.

How are you liking it? I read the first chapter in one Murakami's short story collections, before he decided to turn that short story into what is now The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle and I thought it was fantastic.

I'm going to read it for sure, it seemed up there with Kafka on the Shore. That really joyful writing he sometimes pulls off.

It's my first time reading any "modern" literature, but I really like it so far. Pretty much nothing major has happened, there's a lot of masturbation though, and I was told the ending is... surprising, which is pretty much the only reason I'm reading it. It's been an easy read so far, and I think I'm gonna love this book when I finish it.
