Felt the urge when I passed a bookstore.

I won't buy a book if it costs more than 3 dollars, so, no, I really don't think so.

A relative recently bought me a wordsworth book as a gift, I'm interpreting this as a a passive-agressive "fuck you". Not bad OP but you can get all these for free on the internet.

Yeah, no.

What do you want us to comment? Was it a good deal? No, those books are so common that you could buy them all for pennies. Literally for 1p on Amazon. Was it a good selection? I guess. It's not particularly exciting and I think most people have read all this stuff by the time they left school.

What do you want?

On a serious note OP. The Wordsworth editions are bad. They are filled with grammatical errors, translated poorly, and generally much less pleasurable to read.

I hate WW. There's a reason they're cheap, because most are either bad or too old to be relevant or entertaining. I sometimes buy them, but rarely finish them.

Those titles have fallen out of copyright long ago.

They aren't free books they are free stories. It still costs money to print and distribute books, even if the story is in public domain.

Holy fuck, why am I arguing this point? Oh God, I've wasted my life . . .

Do people honestly not go to thrift stores and pick up classics for like twenty-five cents?

I have an original Catcher, For Whom The Bell Tolls, In Cold Blood, and Varied Types (G.K. Chesterton), and I paid $1 for each.
