But porn stars have broken into the mainstream; it might've been more common in the 70's but it's still not impossible. Cannibal Holocaust had a cast that included porn stars and might not have come off the ground if they only looked for "respectable" talents. It's probably not the best example but it's the most memorable to me and my point is that low-budget films need low-budget yet experienced actors. You'll just have to transfer your shame somewhere else. Besides, The Magic of Reality was more shameless pornography than anything Stoya's done.
