Does anyone else here lack feelings and is neutral to most things?

>> No.2860031

Yeah bro, I'm like so empty inside.

>> No.2860033

I have feelings, but not so much. I'm neutral towards them.

That is because you have a boring life in front of the computer and you are trying to protect yourself from engaging into anything, because you are afraid of change, afraid of not being in control, afraid of being hurt, afraid of what you don't know. So instead of feeling, you remain neutral, instead of saying something that you might consider to be stupid later, you hold no opinion whatsoever, instead of gaining something to lose it later, you prefer not to gain anything at all.

But everything changes, and it will hit you too. When this day come, you'll be surprised. So learn to adapt yourself. Adapt yourself. Don't rush and don't slow down, go exactly the speed you need to be.

When you begin considering, with all emotional honesty and maturity, to feel something, you'll begin to feel it. And this will be horrible at first, but you'll learn how to do it and lead a life with a little less anxiety and apathy.

Listen to me on this.

If you had prefixed your statement with "it's possible" it would become a lot more plausible.

behavior is not unique to every individual on earth

you'd like it to be, I suspect, but it's not. You're one more case in an enormous plow's worth of special snowflake syndrome.

Who should I be for you to listen to me? A friend? A teacher? Your father? A girlfriend? Tolstoy? Yourself?

Read for yourself and make your call.

I see it in this way: if he listens to me, he listens to me, if he doesn't, he doesn't. If others listen to me, great, if not, it's okay too.

It's not as if I went to his door and said these things. He mentioned it here, I felt like giving my anonymous opinion and try to help.

I've heard OP's question a lot of times before.

Hey, and what if someone is somewhat desensitized for big important stuff but becomes overly emotional about little trivial things?

>> No.2860187

>>2860171
the culture of existence hasn't yet appropriated the little things. You've seen movies and films about the Holocaust, murder, savagery, war, nuclear annihilation, etc, and you've grown desensitized (naturally).

However, there aren't many films about a bird dying on your front porch, or about dropping a sandwich facedown on the floor, or about having to give away your favorite stuffed animal.

yes, that one.

Emotions are part of life. If you are too extreme about not feeling things it may come out as a reaction to unexpected sources. Your body tries to balance it out.

One might be afraid of engaging in real change, but it's safe to feel for little things that have no impact or consequence whatsoever, so one goes for the easy route and compensate through there.
