Hey /lit/, first time poster.

I just finished this. My brain is on fire. I want to talk about everything this this book, forever.

Well, go on then!

At first, reading it was like reading it was like reading the most well written creepypasta you might find on /x/. I dont want to ruin anything for people that havent read it (the newest version is $23, worth every cent) -- you lose your mind as the narrator (rather, one of them) does -- the diction is so beautifully chaotic; you can FEEL this guy's psyche slowly unraveling from a first-person perspective.

Q: is this book readable as a pdf?

>> No.2856636

And the formatting starts to get weirder
and weirder.

Entire pages are dedicated to

just
one
word.

Wow OP, I know that feel. The first time I came to /lit/ ( a few months ago) was when I just finished reading that book and wanted to talk about it.

I got yelled at and I think someone used the phrase "babbies first postmodern book" or something like that. Anyway, fucking great book.

Readable, yes. As enjoyable, no.

Pretentious litfags will be pretentious. To be fair, it WAS my first postmodern book. To be fair, I don't know what a postmodern book even fucking is. I just very much enjoyed the experience of reading it.

Yeah, I don't know why people think this book is gimmicky. Where do they get that idea, do you think?

You don't know what the word means. People come and post about it all the time. We're bored of talking about it. That's it! No one's saying you're stupid, or boring, or worthless. We just want people to stop posting the same threads over and over.

Is there any value to actually reading the sections that seem to contain irrelevant details? I'm referring specifically to the part that lists, in exhaustive detail, every piece of furnishing not found in rooms of the labyrinth. I seem to recall a part earlier in which Zampano comments that the reader should not attempt to skim and miss important details or read too deeply and miss the scope. However, with all the nonsense the book seems to contain it feels like the author is just screwing with me.

It'll pass. You're realise it's 90% Gimmicks. 5% worthwhile (NAvidson's report) 5% just bad writing (Oh Johnny Truant)

When I first read it I was amazed, but then I ventured into reading more books and I came to the realisation.... it's not that great.

I bought this book last night and was thinking about /lit/ and what do you know...
