Am I plebeian-tier if Lolita is my favorite book? I really wish my favorite book were something cooler, but my reading of Lolita was timed perfectly in my life such that I derived more enjoyment from it than anything else, even entertainment-only genre fiction. I wish I could be a more enlightened hipster and at least claim Pale Fire or something, but the magic just isn't there.
