Art *is* dead in the same sense that punk is: it's sort of true but you come off as an uneducated cunt in saying it. Consumer culture means no more Baroque masterpieces in churches where everyone can appreciate it, you have to buy it now, but that only makes art "dead" if you can't handle change.
