Do people still read?

Jumping spiders are cute.

The books and the show are of equal quality, I see no reason to read it and no reason to watch it. I tried, of course.

>> No.2761184

The series of books is called A Song of Ice and Fire.

Not my style.
I didn't like A Game of Thrones, tried again at the series. Couldn't watch anymore after the 3rd episode.
I prefer things like Doctor Who for my tv entertainment and some nice reading for my literary entertainment.

Well, if you ask someone who has experienced both "Is Game of Thrones good" then you'll get an answer about the TV show.

Fantasy is a genre that is inherently better in a visual medium.

That's kind of an elaborate assumption to make about all people. Why wouldn't you talk about the show if someone asked you about Game of Thrones? Stop thinking reading makes you better than everyone else.

It's because people read good books than bad like George R. R. Martin's.
Maybe, they just watch the show because they know it's bad writed.

1st series: faithful to books and great
2nd series: Strays from books and starts to be replaced by fucking awful writing and cringing screens.

Bad writing is bad writing, whether you read it or someone acts it out for you.

Out of curiosity I wonder how many people would be bitching about this if this was some worthy 'serious' theater.
